I finally completed Hank & Chips since last year, there are 3 clones has done that I was panic on the forgotten paint color; which take me a while to get the color back in track.

Indus Valley Heritage – Sculptures

Indus Valley Civilization is renowned for various arts because the people of that era had great taste for pottery, dancing, painting and the art of making sculptures. Reports say that the history of Indian art and sculptures dates back to second and third millennium BC. Indian art had attained such a great level of expertise and beauty at that point of time which is matchless even today. Two objects found from the remains of Indus Valley maintain an elevated position among the carvings of their time and are quoted as an illustration and a role model owing to their marvelous sophistication. One of these objects was a bronze girl depicted as enjoying herself dancing and the other was a limestone made priest’s bust.
Various diverse ranges of sculptures were reported to be found from that period. These include Terracotta Seals, Bronze and Stone Sculptures, Pillars, Two Shell Objects and Animal Sculptures etc. In that era sculptures were mainly made of stone, metals and terra-cotta. With the passage of time bronze made sculptures also gained popularity. A very fascinating strategy was utilized known as lost wax process to make sculptures of bronze metal. The best model of this is the sculpture of a girl covered with ornaments which was located in the remains of Moenjo-Darro. Female body models were made out of terracotta along with sculpts of peepal leaves. Baked clay pots were also in vogue; they were made from a special type of clay and then painted with vibrant colors and intricate designs. Stone was shaped and polished to depict dancing individuals; such stone sculptures found reveal the inclination of the inhabitants of that civilization towards singing and dancing.
Various cities led to the discovery of some seals with engraved pictures and figures over them. These seals were usually rectangular in shape with some un-understandable script that looked like a writing of some sort. Towards the top of the seals some imprinted images of humans and animals were observed. Studies have yielded the conclusion that these were probably used in the process of exchange of goods and trade. All this stuff provides an insightful sneak peek into the lives of the people of that time, about their religious believes, social interactions and daily routine activities. This fact highlights the importance of the art of sculpture making and how efficient a tool it is to decipher the social norms of a society from its artifacts.

I’ve received 2 sample copy and prototype of G-41W from my caster, which means that all the copy will be coming back soon! I can’t wait to paint one of it to have a look at the completed G-41W, the bayonet is fit well that is pretty sure the casting still in high quality.

Scratch build 1/6 G-41

Recently been working lot of 1/18 scale figure series, that some of the 1/6 project had been temporary hold for about 2 month. The 1/6 German G-41 semi- automatic rifle project had been half way through since middle of April. It’s time to complete the G-41 prototype that I hope the rifle will sell well.

*Cartridge 7.92x57mm Mauser
*Action Gas- operated
*Rate of fire 20 to 30 rounds per minute
*Effective range 400 m
*Feed system 10-round non-detachable magazine

G41(W) rifles were produced at two factories, namely Walther at Zella Mehlis, and Berlin Luebecker. Walther guns bear the AC code, and WaA359 inspection proofs, while BLM guns bear the DUV code with WaA214 inspection proofs. These rifles are also relatively scarce, and quite valuable in collector grade. Varying sources put production figures between 40,000 and 145,000 units. Again, these rifles saw a high attrition rate on the Eastern front.

*I’ve cut the 5 pieces of 1/6 scale print paper of G-41 stick them on 1.2mm styrene sheet, then cut the shape off from styrene sheet. I leave the room for magazine use at the middle that the rifle outline and shape curving were done by knife.

*I used the bolt part from Dragon G-43, but it needs to fix the correct details to fit G-41.

*The metal and 0.1mm styrene sheet for the parts of rifle.

*Complete G-41

*After spray 1200 putty look and the bayonet is necessary need for the rifle.
I took the bayonet from Dragon Kar-98 that the scabbard connect to the rifle needs to fix to fit well.

I just have the casting of motorcycle rider back that is the time to paint them for presentation. I used Tamiya acrylic XF-57 & XF-64 for uniform and trousers as primer. The wash and dry brush effect where same as before I did.
收到熱騰騰的樹脂翻製品總是讓人想趕快完成上色.我以田宮水性漆XF-57及XF-64分別在制服及褲子打底色,其餘的效果如同以往的步驟.

Well, the track links is not enough length to connected, which is about 0.3mm gap that I used paper clip as connector both end of track link and then drill two hole at body to insert the paper clip which can be hold well both track links.
美中不足的地方就是履帶長度差了0.3mm就能順利連接, 在車身引擎外側鑽2個小洞剛好可以插入迴紋針, 將迴紋針折成ㄇ字型各插入履帶各兩頭尾端一節, 再將ㄇ型最末端固定在小洞裡即可.

I’ve add a tool box on the right side, that could be two tool box on the right but I’m try not to affect soldier’s posing so I decided to make one only.
在戰車右側斜板上加了個工具箱, 應該是2個排列而我只選擇做一個; 原因是不想影響到坐在戰車上的士兵.

Here is my free hand for letters and numbers in Russian characters "ЗА РОДИНУ!" which is "for motherland", because there is impossible to find the right scale decal for tank.
用手寫的俄文”為了祖國”, 畢竟也找不到剛好的水貼紙.

Building 1/18 scale resin Russian T-34/76. III

The track links is the most attractive parts of tank; I always enjoy assembling them piece by piece and then having fun to play with it. If the tank without the track links that I’ll say it is not the beast!
The resin track links also need to clean the parts then joint them with steel pin. I apply Gunze dark iron on them; then I used tissue wipe out to show the metal look.
履帶是坦克最吸引人的部分; 我喜歡一片片組合後玩一下可動的履帶. 如果坦克沒了履帶就稱不上是野獸了!
樹脂履帶也是需要清模邊接著以細鐵條穿過並連接每一片. 以郡士的黑鐵色塗上所有的履帶再以紙巾擦拭自然露出金屬感.

The charcoal pastel is what I used for dust effect which I’ve obtain the powder from yellow sand、gray and a bit of white charcoal pastel then mix with Tamiya acrylic thinner to become viscous liquid that can be attachment at the surface. Used tissue wipes out the surface gently when pastel dry completely.
粉彩一直是我用來製造塵土效果的材料, 也就是將粉彩條磨出的粉混色後加入田宮壓克力溶劑攪拌後變成稠狀時就能直接塗上表面. 乾了後的粉彩表面以紙巾輕輕擦拭掉過多的部分即可呈現自然塵土效果.

We all know when spray the flat coat paint on surface that comes up super flat result, that I love to add the oil paint and mix relative color tone on it to show the nature effect on the tank, that the same way of colloid from oil paint apply over the flat paint that give the rich look on the exterior.
The oil paint has great ductility then the model paint, which the disadvantage is need few days to dry.
我們都了解當噴上消光色系在模型上會呈現粗平光表面, 我習慣以油畫顏料疊上消光模型塗料, 油畫顏料本身的膠質能均勻覆蓋在上並且能混出自然的相關色系, 可以讓模型表面呈現更豐富的色澤.
油畫顏料有很棒的延展性但是它需要幾天的時間乾, 這相對需要耐性!

I spray flat black all the road wheel as primer. I cut the card paper in the round shape as metal road wheel size that I cover on it then spray the XF-26 on both side of them that leave the black as rubber tire.
將陸輪黏上後全都噴上黑色底漆. 切了剛好可以覆蓋上路輪的金屬部分的紙板, 在兩側噴上XF-26, 留下外圈橡膠部分即可.

I haven’t been doing static model for about 10 years, now I’m starting with full build resin custom 1/18 scale kid which is big different from injection model kit from what I had before that this is make more excited to me. The custom T-34/76 build by Matthew Hoggin who is a master of 1/18 scale custom enthusiast, who has created many pieces of resin modify kits which is basic for 21st Century Toy 1/18 scale. It is amazing to see how he scratch build a vehicle from nothing to complete kit, then who is offering very limit copy for 1/18 scale enthusiast at the forum.
Here is how I build a 1/18 scale T-34/76, the super glue is main cement for resin kit that the first need to clean all the parts because the handmade is not perfectly as machine but this is fun part to enjoy to build the kit.
已經有10多年沒做過模型, 而這麼一開始就玩上全樹脂模型, 現在反而對射出塑料模型感到興趣缺缺了! 因為在組裝的階段太完美而顯得無趣, 個人還是喜歡老方法, 喜歡從不入眼的模型玩起, 聽起來根本就是跟大家唱反調就是, 但是這才是玩模型的真正樂趣!
這架100%樹脂少量翻製的模型是由Matthew Higgin全手工製成, 看了這整個從無到有的過程會讓人感動及驚訝!
貼上製作這台1/18 的T-34/76蘇軍坦克車, 快乾膠是樹脂的接著劑; 在接著前必須將品部的注入棒等處清除乾淨, 畢竟手工製的跟機器射出是不同的而這就是最原始製作模型的樂趣.

*Simply glue the 6 parts of turret, that I’ve added the bottom deck for tanker can stand on it.
簡易滴組合砲塔的6 個部分, 自己加上內側的腳踏墊給坦克兵站著用.

*Spray flat black overall as primer, then apply acrylic XF-26 on the tank.
噴上黑色當底, 再全車噴上壓克力系列的XF-26.

After apply the flap coat that the wash is ready for next step which need to have black + brown oil paint mix with “Zippo” that it content high volatility liquid which is dry fast but still need about 2 days.
*Wash all the engrave area.
*Use kitchen tissue wipes the figure surface that leaves the diluted oil paint on it.
*leave them dry.
在噴過消光保護漆後以黑+咖啡色的油畫顏料以Zippo稀釋
*塗上人型凹線處.
*以紙巾擦拭表面讓稀釋的顏料留在凹處.
*大約需2天時間會乾.

The way of wash can be used for entire figure as well, once apply on the head part that need a bit careful the shading of face, used clean brush and cotton swabs to clean light shade area like nose、Zygomatic、chin、mandible etc.
洗的過程通用整個人型, 而頭的部分要細心些許, 準備乾淨的筆刷及棉花棒處理鼻樑、顴骨、下巴及下顎等地方就行了.

The wash can be suit for entire figure from head、body、equipment and gears; The typical Russian rolled up in the rain cape painted with XF-57 then washed with oil.
Canteen- XF-49, Entrench-XF-57 + XF-64, Pistol-XF-64 then washed with oil after dry.
幾乎整個人型都可以用洗來處理, 從頭、身體、武器到裝備等; 典型的蘇軍捲成筒狀的雨具以XF-57為底再以稀釋的油畫洗過.
水壺-XF-49, 鏟子-XF-57+XF-64, 手槍-XF-64, 待這些底色乾後都以油畫洗過即可.

T-34 tanker & soldiers paint guide. I

I’ve received 2 set of copy of T-34 tanker & riders back, that there looks fantastic as usual. There is no doubt that I can’t wait to paint them to see how they look in color!

Here are the 3 simple safe steps for figure painting, which is not affect each layer when apply on it.
*Acrylic(primer) » oil paint (wash) » Enamel (dry brush)

I used Gunze acrylic 324 + 14 as flesh; sometime you can have more or less grey on skin that looks a bit of different tone to fit variant weather or color.

*Acrylic XF-49 applies overall the soldier’s uniform.

*Acrylic XF-1 for tanker and boots
*Acrylic XF-64 for ammo pouches、belt and rifles(wood parts).

*Acrylic XF-62 for helmets.

*I’ll spray the flat coat when those colors are dry just in case as protection.

I like to have the second rider in riding posing, the body have had add the wire inside to hold the pose better.
我想用騎乘的姿勢來做第二個騎士, 這次的身體裡加了鐵絲條來穩固姿勢.

It’s better to have body baked after then go for the arms; I didn’t put the wire inside the arms that there were straight forward from rough to details.
烤過後定型的身體比較好當作依據來製作兩支手臂, 手臂依舊沒有放進鐵絲而直接塑出雛形後再細修.

French MAT-49 sub in 1/6

Here are few French MAT-49 sub in process, those are casting in resin that content few parts which need to glue them. I used 0.2mm iron wire to replace original resin wire stock which gives the strength. The wire stock and sling still not complete yet!
Each MAT-49 included 4 cartridges.

First I like to thanks to Pascal(Dudulle.69) who had provided me the resin and metal parts of French light MG FM24/29, this is the rare subject that hasn’t appear in the market also it is one of my favorite subject to go with.
Here I have very limited run of FM24/29 in full resin instead of original metal parts, which is barrel and cartridge cause too heavy when mix with resin. I’m sure the figure will fall down easily because the weight.

Here is the casting of FM24/29 LMG with 4 cartridges. The painted MG and price tag will come up soon.

Just completed paint job but still need to weathering on wood parts, that the sling will be working on after that; the most important issue is the buckles! Well, let me solve it out…….

The price of FM24/29 is ＄29.00 each resin MG, which included completed paint job、sling and 4 cartridge.

Here are the whole crews on T-34/76 shot, I knew that the more soldiers riding on the tank will looks better but there is no time for me now. #4 soldiers have equipment a PPSH sub which is different with #2 & #3.
所有的人員在T-34/76坦克上就位, 我知道如有更多士兵在坦克上頭會更壯觀但是時間不夠, 4號士兵拿著PPSH衝鋒槍, 跟另2 位有所區別.

The Guadalcanal campaign was a significant strategic combined arms victory by Allied forces over the Japanese in the Pacific theatre. The Japanese had reached the high-water mark of their conquests in the Pacific, and Guadalcanal marked the transition by the Allies from defensive operations to the strategic offensive in that theatre and the beginning of offensive operations, including the Solomon Islands, New Guinea, and Central Pacific campaigns, that resulted in Japan's eventual surrender and the end of World War II.

在太平洋戰役反攻日軍的第一站, 也就是海軍陸戰隊第一師在1942年8月7日登陸所羅門群島的瓜達卡納島. 此時日軍從海上展開猛烈反攻, 使得美軍背腹受敵, 蒙受持續不斷的海空轟炸, 同時也被迫進行一連串激烈陸戰. 此戰役是太平洋戰爭的轉淚點, 同時也向世界展現美國的決心. 但瓜達卡納一役也爆露出日軍對投降者採取格殺勿論的手段. 此役在1943年2月9日畫下句點, 估計共有7100美軍和30000日軍死亡.

The project G – III

Here is the tricky part to cut the butt of the rifle part to fit well my custom right hand, because the hand casting in resin which is not flexible, and then re-assemble it. The rifle paint job needs to be done first, that I scratch build the sling.
這個部分是比較高難度的地方, 也就是必須先切除槍托再穿入自製的手裡, 原因是手的材質是樹脂, 而它並沒有彈性可言. 步槍則必須先上完色才能裝上手裡, 槍背帶是自製.

Simply made a webbing for bayonet to hold on the waist belt.
簡易的製作刺刀織帶座以固定在腰帶上.

The project G – II

The uniform from DML, that the trouser form BGT. I don’t like the DML made of fabric material which is hard to show the realistic in 1/6 scale, but sometime I have no choice to use them. I weathering the fabric by watercolor (please review my oldie) and fray the fabric parts by file, like elbow and knees that show the soldier were fight tough during the battle.
制服取自於威龍, 褲子則取自於BGT. 不喜歡有些威龍的制服版型及布料, 常常穿起來時無法顯現1/6的精緻度. 同樣以水彩舊化制服, 磨損的部位以銼刀處理, 磨損的部位可以代表戰鬥的艱苦景象.

I used one of my custom hand set for the soldier, I’m not satisfy the manufacture hands that I’ve sculpt the hands that it hold tight the rifle perfectly.
我用自製的手來搭配這個兵偶, 因為不滿足一般市售的手; 所以自行塑出完全能握緊步槍的手來.

The project G – I

I used one of my custom head-05 for this project that the head age fit about 18 ~ 20 years old young soldier. The TTL body stills my choice because it looks slim; I love the flap chest body for dressing as normal position.
The head had fixed to fit the body which is not able to activity, the neck joint had fill up with putty than the detail were taking care with tools and sandpaper. The paint job please review previous article.
這次使用自製的第五號頭雕, 差不多合適18~20歲年齡的年輕士兵, TTL素體還是這次的素材, TTL扁胸正常體位還是我喜歡的素體, 而穿起衣服較會有自然感覺.
頸部做了固定式的改造, 也由於TTL頸部幅度往上整個縮小而無法呈現自然曲線, 只能以補土將這缺陷作填補. 上色請參考前文!

The lower body had glue sponge on waist、butt and thigh to stressed the shape when dress up.
下半身的腰、臀及大腿都黏上了海綿來加強外型, 特別是在著裝後.

Here is my 1/6 scale custom of resin German 15cm Nebelwerfer shells, there are gray green and grey color that come with decal instruction on each shell.

剛出爐的自製德軍15cm六管火箭砲彈,材質為PU樹脂,上色完全及水貼標示,有灰綠及灰色兩種塗裝.

The each single marked (red rectangle) for 0.20 USD, the whole sheet is 11.2 USD, that included two different pattern of shell marked, total are 56 marked in one sheet.
單一個標示(紅色矩形處)是0.20美元, 整張為11.2 美元.

A magnitude 9.0 earthquake and Tsunami had hit the northern east of Japan at 11th March, cause kill and huge damage of Japanese and property that people had lost their home.
I don’t speak Japanese language, I never been there, I don’t have any Japanese friend, but people has suffering such big damage by nature disaster. I don’t really know how to helping them! Easy way is simply click on your finger with mouse as following website “Japanese Red Cross Society” to help them. I donated my 3 days’ pay to JRCS to do what I can do.

When torso and details has complete then I’ve used brush moisten Tamiya enamel thinner brush on it to smooth the texture from tools. I made a stand for figure that can hold the figure not to fall down when bake in the oven.
當身軀的細節完成後以筆刷沾田宮油性漆溶劑塗在表面上, 這可以將人型表面從工具上留下來的筆觸刷平. 做了個簡易的支架台可以固定人型, 特別是在烤箱烘烤時不會倒下而變形.

I did two parts for tanker, which is head and torso that this might saving the cost for casting.
將人型簡單的分成2 個部分, 頭與身體來減少過多分件而這也是減少翻模的成本的方式.

The turret has add a deck stand for tanker, I’m attempting to go for interior detail for such big scale kit but I really have to go for figure first and the time is not allow me to do for the moment.
在砲塔底下加了一層夾層可以給坦克兵站立, 其實很想自行加裝所有內部細節但是時間上不許可而現階段必須先把人型先完成為首要.

Glue the upper hatch on top of turret that is the most need for tanker, following the front open hatch design as great protection which I can make tanker one arm hold the hatch that the other arm swing down naturally on the side of hatch.
把砲塔上的蓋子黏牢是製作坦克兵最需要的動作依據; T-34/76 將砲塔蓋子設計成前開式可以保護成員正面安全, 而依據前開式逃生蓋來製作戰車兵, 也就是一手握著蓋子, 另一手自然擺下而依著逃生口的邊緣.

The figure definitely needs the vehicle to work with, such as making decision of how to leaning body at the vehicle、sitting or any posing etc. I really have to spend some time to assemble the kits to keeping figure project going through.
I’ve clean the sprue port of all parts, that makes them easy to assemble; the kits quite straight forward, if you know the T-34 basic structure that can going through well without instruction note.
製作相關人型特別需要交通用具的搭配才能塑出像靠著、坐著或是其他姿勢的動作.當前還是要先將這模型大致組合才能繼續人型的進度,如知道T-34的基本結構就能順利把他組合而不需說明書的幫助.

The hull comes with five parts; the bottom is styrene sheet in black color that the rest are resin parts; the road wheels and tracks will leave them later coz I’m not hurry for entire tank to achieve. So far, all the stage is for figures as priority.
車體共有5個部分;底板是黑色的ABS膠板,其他則是作者自行翻製的樹脂品部,路輪及履帶留著以後再處裡,因為不是首要之急.

The bubbles and assembling gaps are needs to fill up with putty.

First time purchased toy from China that it impressive me very much of the quality. This is 1/18 scale die-cast Liberation Army Jeep + 105mm recoilless, the jeep had Russian style shape which we knew that China have had military support from Russia after WWII.

The tanker has added a leather jacket that the trouser is leather made as well; I following the winter scheme for the figure project. The clothes wrinkles are tricky part of the figure that I keep fixing couple times to make it look right, but later I’m starting again! It’s better to have a 1:1 model to show the accurate details.
給坦克兵加了上衣, 而這一身上下都是全皮製的服裝; 這次會是以冬季服為題材. 衣服的皺褶是最難的部分, 前前後後修了幾次還是沒看順眼, 得不斷的修下去. 最好有1:1的模特兒(想像).

The soldiers are starting from the lower body; like trouser and boots that there is the reason why I like to start from the lower body. Because the lower body always connects with vehicles or ground first that show the stable part of human body; The Russian quilt winter uniform will be my choice for those soldiers. Again, I have stick to the wrinkle parts, first I made a mistake that the pants below knees area should be tack into boots smoothly which is not loose like.
士兵們從下半身細節開始, 也就是從褲子及靴子開始整理起. 其實從下半身製作也是因為下半身會是直接與地面或是交通工具直接接觸的部位; 可以說是身體比重較大的部位. 二戰蘇軍的冬季棉衣是一大特色; 同樣, 在整體形狀處裡完後從褲子的皺褶做起, 也順便照料靴子部分. 一開始在膝蓋下方與靴子口的褲管處做得很鬆垮, 而這完全不是蘇軍的特色而是緊實而貼的塞進靴子裡.

Just receiving 1/18 scale T-34/76 custom by pickelhaube resin copy kit, this is much more fun than building injection kit. I place my clay figure on it that shows figures needs adjustment.
很興奮剛收到pickelhaube全自製樹脂模版的1/18 T-34/76 , 這比玩精緻射出的模型來得好玩(個人的口味啦!).將人型土模擺上看看感覺, 看來得做調整才能搭配這台坦克!

The basic shape of the Mosin Nagant had carved by knife and sandpaper, specially the sharp edge of 2 pieces of styrene sheet, I thinning the trigger and magazine component to 2mm thick which is less than 4mm gun wide. A section of 2mm styrene rod as gun bolt part, than I used putty and little aluminum part for detail. The 1mm paper clip for barrel, the dressmakers pin for gas tube.
以刀子及砂紙做出莫辛納甘基本形狀, 特別是在兩片塑膠板黏合後鋒利的銳角處. 將板機及子彈夾削薄至2mm, 也就是比槍身的厚度薄的一半. 槍機的部分以2mm的膠條為材料, 細部則以補土、鋁片追加. 槍管以1mm的迴紋針製作, 瓦斯管以衣服的小針為材料.

I’m starting to sculpting 1/18 scale T-34 tank crew & infantry before I’ll receiving full build resin T-34 from Pickelhaube. I’ve done 2 rough shapes of them so far, that I’m planning to make 4 of them, which probably 1 tank commander and 3 Russian infantry are riding on the tank.
在還沒收到Pickelhaube自製的樹脂品T-34之前先開始1/18比例的T-34坦克乘員及士兵. 已有2 個粗胚成型, 計畫完成4 個; 有可能是1 名坦克長及3 員乘座的蘇軍士兵.

Here I’m making 1/18 scale Mosin Nagant rifle for Russian infantry, that the PPSH sub will be next for Russian soldier as well. First I have 1/6 Garand and Mosin Nagant for length check then go for 1/18 scale proportion. 1/18 scale still the good range to me, that I won’t go through smaller then this scale which I’m not able to make it anyhow.
1/18的莫辛納甘步槍是打算給蘇軍士兵拿的, PPSH衝鋒槍也應該會做把給他們用. 開始先以1/6的加藍德及莫辛納甘做長度比較, 再轉移到1/18的比例.

Here is outdoor shot of my Vietnam G.I figures where we were had fun for reenact at Taichung, it was a nice shot from Luka (great camera!)
這人偶是舊作而最近帶他們出去外拍, 感覺很棒! 是由Luka拍攝.

Waffen took his 15cm Nebelwerfer and German SS for outdoor shot; I had one of mine SS join the team.
Waffen 帶了他的15公分火箭發射器及幾隻SS出場, 我也帶了一隻參加.

I’ve have had fun to dressed Chinese Infantry WWII uniform, which is better than dressing German uniform. The uniform and gears are about 1937, during Sino-Japanese war.
這身制服及裝備是二戰時期中國軍隊於1937年在抗日初期時的穿著!

Chinese Army Private 75th Army, 16th Rgt, 6 Division, China, 23 March.1943
The battle of Tien Bao Mountain is located at Hubei province in China, that it was a successful ambush fight during anti-Japanese war at 1943. The 13th regiment of Japanese infantry were station at the high ground along the Han-I motorway that they know the Nationalist Army coming to take the high ground from spy, Japanese Infantry planning to have the opportunity to sneak attack the Nationalist Army before they come; Nationalist Army had taken the chance before Japs coming to sneak attack. The ambush have had 200 more killed、20 more wounded 、200 lost Japs soldiers.

ZB-37 MG & Ammo box

This is the DID 1/6 products of Czech made machine gun during WWII, it is a well done item which is in full metal kit that I’ve grab 2 of them with no doubt when release. ZB-37 is medium machine gun that the origin design by Czechoslovakia, the ZB-37 were serviced by Czechoslovakia、Nazi Germany、Republic of China、Yugoslavia and Kingdom of Romania.
I simply apply the chrome powder on the MG which makes the metal looks natural gradation. The tripod had apply the gun metal at some area to show the worn out and chip paint effect.
The ZB-37 MG didn’t have the trigger like usual machine guns have that the grip controls the firing.
這是DID出品的全金屬ZB-37 捷克製中型機槍, 細節及可動性都非常棒的模型, 在上市時二話不說地拿了2 挺. ZB-37在二戰時期曾被使用於捷克、納粹、中國、南斯拉夫及羅馬尼亞帝國等國家.
我以棉花棒沾著銀粉在機槍銳角做擦拭, 凸顯金屬不同的層次. 三角架則用金屬漆輕輕刷上可能會磨掉表面油漆的部位, 再以餐巾紙擦拭呈現掉漆金屬底色!

I can’t find any clue or information about the ZB-37 ammunition box for Nationalist Army, so I have to make it up with my imagination. Hope someone know the ammunition looks like or any pictures provide.
由於找不到國軍抗戰時期使用ZB-37 機槍彈藥箱的資料, 只好自己想像製作. 希望有人提供ZB-37彈藥箱的圖片或資料.

Uniform and gear

*The way of uniform weathering same as usual, not to explain again; In this case the feet has glue on the lower legs already so it needs assemble after dress up. The uniform、legging and canteen are from Soldier Story products of Chinese Infantry.
*Bread bag is modifying from DML German bread bag.
*The belt is custom.
*Some say the legging is the difficult parts for 1/6 figure. Indeed, if legging goes wrong that makes the entire figure looks crap. Fold the bottom pants tightly then glue them, also glue the legging when starting to go around the lower legs, other are go up and circle but make them tight as you can, that the end of legging should be below the knees which is fasten the end or glue them a bit.
*Wearing the custom straw sandal on feet, I’ve leave the 4 point of U shapes which for fasten the straw sandal like shoelace. I’m quite enjoying making straw sandal that it really looks comfortable when wearing it.
*製服的舊化就不再重述, 可以參考舊的製作說明. 這個人偶不同於先前的方式就是在穿著褲子後才能將小腿部分兜上, 因為腳已經固定在小腿上了. 制服綁腿水壺都是取自於Soldier Story 出品的國軍題材人偶.
*麵包袋改自於威龍德軍裝備.
*自製腰帶.
*許多玩家覺得打綁腿是1/6最難的部位. 的確是, 綁腿打不好就影響到整體而看起來就是遜. 將褲管末端(小腿處) 折了個大折也就是貼著小腿的形狀緊貼著在上膠水固定住, 在腳踝開始纏繞綁腿時也上點膠水固定再往上緊貼著小腿繞, 在膝蓋下方完成綁腿末端並用些許膠水固定住.
*將自製草鞋貼著腳底, 在草鞋事先預留的4 個U型繩中以棉繩穿過, 緊緊的跟腳綁住, 這就像是穿鞋子時綁的鞋帶一樣. 發覺製作草鞋很有趣!

About straw sandals
Been curious taking about straw sandal while they had been used by Nationalist Army during WWII, I’m quite sure the straw sandals is not kind of standard issue for Chinese Army, that they are home made stuff which probably carry by personal from home. So I don’t really worry about the mistake when I made the straw sandals, but they are looks different from Samurai from my point of view.
在製作草鞋時一直對它很感興趣, 這應該可以確定不是國軍的制式裝備, 通常是家裡做的, 也就是從軍時從家裡帶在身上的物品. 所以在製作草鞋時可以隨意發揮, 但是跟日本武士穿的樣式好像有蠻大的差距吧!

Custom patches
I did the patches few years ago through photoshop, that they have the right size for 1/6 then print it out on the fabric, cut it off and glue them on chest and arms will done.
這些徽章是在幾年前就已經預留下來的, 這些胸章及臂章都是以Photoshop繪製的, 縮放到合適1/6的尺寸後以掃描機透過布料印製出來; 將需要的徽章簡下後以白膠黏上正確的位置即可.

New head、Straw hat and Straw sandals

Here I’m making another Asian head for the subject, It’s almost close to the end of contest that I’m not planning to do casting head this time; which I use the original sculpting directly then baked in the oven, spray the fine 1200 putty on it then painted the color straight on head.
這次由於快到比賽投稿的截止日, 沒多少時間弄, 就直接把頭雕做完後放進烤箱定型, 直接上色, 不做翻製的動作了.

Straw hat is specialist equipment in Nationalist Army during WWII, I think the straw hat can stay away from heat better than steel helmet, but protection is negative! Painting National emblem and Chinese character is one of the impressive parts on straw hat to me.
草笠是國軍在抗日戰爭時裝備上的一大特色, 草笠比鐵製鋼盔防熱但是沒有安全效果. 畫上國徽及寫上繁體字在草笠上是讓人印象深刻的地方.

Straw sandals were most particular equipment for Nationalist Army; many soldiers found the familiar homemade straw sandals more comfortable than boots and shoes; they were cool in summer, and actually gave a better grid in mud.
I used fine right scale hemp rope for the straw sandals, first need the thin card board paper then scissor the shoe’s shape; put the glue on the paper, that make S shape of hemp rope on it, doesn’t matter the rope goes over the shape, that you need to scissor the over part when dry.
Once it done then turn over to the other side which is still the paper, now it needs to build 4 points for fasten the shoes when feet put on the shoes, which is one at front to hold thumb that other two for lateral feet, that the one for inside. Again, it needs to repeat to make S shape of hemp rope to glue on the surface.
Finally it needs a section of hemp rope to glue over the edge.
草鞋也是國軍抗戰時的特色之一, 許多士兵覺得家用的草鞋來得比軍靴及皮鞋舒服許多, 尤其是夏季時會很涼爽, 並且草鞋能有效隔絕泥巴!
先準備薄的卡紙並剪出鞋型, 以細麻繩弄成S 狀再黏上紙板上; 不必理會S 型麻繩會超出紙鞋板許多, 待乾後將鞋型以外的麻繩剪掉就行了.
反過另一面也就是還未黏上麻繩的那面, 固定出4 個點的麻繩並可以用來穿繩的形狀; 分別是大拇指、鞋外側2 點、鞋內側1 點, 完後再重複前面步驟以S型鋪上即可.
最後以一小段麻繩沿著鞋型邊緣黏上就完成草鞋.

Making 1/6 hands and feet

It’s been half years that I didn’t do any 1/6 figure since my Dad have had illness from this May, who’s condition getting worse from time to time. Hope he is not too much pain till the end. There was a competition promise from last contest at OSS forum that I have to continuing support the activity. I already have the subject of Chinese Army WWII when I had the DID products of ZB-37 MG, now I have to make the hands to fit the ZB-37 MG, that the specialist part is making bare feet for Chinese soldier, and the straw sandal for the feet.
已經有半年沒碰1/6人型, 從我爸生病開始到現在, 而他的狀況是每下愈況, 只希望他沒有疼痛就好! 這次回到1/6 是因為4月份在OSS比賽後已經回應會參加11月的例行論壇比賽, 也是支持論壇的動力. 這次主題其實很早就有構想, 也是收了DID 出品的ZB-37捷克製機槍後在腦子裡就有這題材了; 而重點是放在抗戰時國軍所使用的ZB-37, 說到國軍的草鞋及草帽都是大的特色, 很值得發揮的題材.

Making hands and feet are quite straight forward, looking your own hands and feet while you sculpting them, check the right proportion anytime then go for variant pose as you desire.
製作手及腳可以說是很直接的例子, 只要看這自己的手腳就可以輕易塑出來, 隨時注意比例就能任意塑出想要的動態出來.

這是樹脂的翻製品, 也是準備給人偶用上.

Stick the hands and feet on the TTL body, there are the gap on both side of feet that needs putty to fill them up, which means the feet can’t be able to twist to different angle but hands does.
把手及腳部固定上TTL素體; 雙腳則需要補土補上截面部分, 如此就無法左右旋轉. 但是雙手可以保有這動態!

Try the body in MG position after the hands and feet are settling that see how it looks!

Paint the hands and feet after smooth the putty.
修過腳部補土的部分後即可上色, 連同手部也一起上色.

Chip robot need a transparent wind shield for protection, here I’m showing how to making a transparent wind shield by transparent sheet.
*I custom made 2 square wood frame, which I’ve 2 pieces of wood then cut through the middle part.
*4 clips for clamping the wood frame, the transparent sheet place between the frames.
*I use chip prototype head for the mold, which I fill the clay at the face part that this will give the correct shape of wind shield.
Chip需要一個透明罩來保護他的臉, 以下是如何製作透明罩子.
*自製了2個木框, 也就是切下木板中間位置.
*準備4 個夾子, 將透明膠板放置其中, 夾子可以牢牢固定住.
*拿了chip的頭部原型並在臉部填滿土, 如此就是我要的透明罩型狀.

*Now you need to heat the transparent sheet by candle, remember keeps the frame moving clockwise or counterclockwise whatever. Please not to heat the same spot that will melt the sheet straightway.
*Force down the sheet when it turns soft by heating, that the shape appear as you desire.
*Cut the parts you need, use marker draw the right shape then scissor down the part carefully.
*準備蠟燭將透明膠板加熱, 記得加熱時要讓木框移動, 順時鐘或是逆時鐘都可以; 不要在同一個點加熱, 如此會將透明膠板燒透!
*加熱後對準模子並下壓, 此時形狀就出現.
*切下需要的部分, 用麥克筆畫出正確的風罩形狀後以小剪刀小心剪下即成.

It takes me a while to painted Fallschirmjager jump suit fragment, that the wash will come after; the dilute oil paint apply on the figure then slightly wipe with kitchen tissue that makes the darker tone stranded in the concave area. The oil paint will not be effected acrylic paint that can go straight forward to it. I started to dry brush at next day, pick up related color for dry brush.
迷彩裝確實讓人花時間上色, 身上的顏色都是壓克力漆, 接著以油畫顏料洗上是不會互相影響, 可以放心以油畫顏料洗過; 但起碼得放一個晚上再接著乾刷, 雖然不是100% 乾. 還是習慣用HUMBROL漆來乾刷!

Painting head- I used HUMBROL matt-61 as fresh primer, the hair painted with brown, then I apply oil paint (mix black & brown) to show the fresh basic tone, also apply on the hair as well; I’ve add the light shade on cheek、forehead and bridge of the nose, then have a clean brush to make those area soft and smooth but has to leave light tone on it. Leave it to next day to painted eyes and lips.
頭部上色以HUMBROL膚色打底, 乾後以油畫顏料(黑+ 咖啡)塗上凹陷處, 再以乾淨筆刷刷開筆觸, 使深的顏色留在凹陷處. 在額頭、臉頰、鼻樑處塗上淺色系的膚色以增加立體感; 再以乾淨筆刷將筆觸輕輕刷開, 放置隔天再塗眼睛及嘴唇等部位.

The wine foil for helmet strip, the FJ helmet strip is complicate than other helmet. Beside the one is goes under the chin that other two are connect from below of ear to hindbrain. Once the helmet strip has done that can’t be remove from head.
酒瓶口的錫箔片最適合拿來當頭盔帶, 而FJ的頭盔帶有別於一般頭盔, 也就是來得較複雜了! 除了正常的繞過下巴之外, 另兩條則是從耳朵下方延伸到後腦的地方. 帶子弄上了, 頭盔也就拿不起來了.

Painting figure is the leisure time for modeling; enjoy the smell of variant paints and turpentine.
*I spray the black at the entire figure as primer.
*Tamiya acrylic XF-65 field grey for pants.
*Mix XF-65 & XF-14 for jump suit.
*Acrylic XF-10 flat brown for one of the fragment.

上色是玩人型最美好時光, 享受不同廠牌塗料的味道及溶劑.
*噴上全黑當底漆(其實有時候就直接塗了), 隨興就好!
*田宮壓克力XF-65 塗上褲子.
*混合XF-65+XF-14 塗上傘裝.
*XF-10 塗上傘衣上其中一迷彩色.

I’ve Mix XF-65 & XF-14 but XF-65 a bit more % then XF-14 to be another one of the fragment camo of jump suit.
也是以XF-65+ XF-14但是XF-65量多些來塗上破片迷彩上的另一個顏色.

I’ve add the plastic rod as joint to connect head and body that makes the head can be able to turn.

Fallschirmjager helmet is one of my favorite WWII helmet; I made it thin as I can to looks realistic in 1/18 scale, I put it on 21st fallschirmjager for test that the helmet strip needs to use foil later. The rough shape of head needs to match the helmet from time to time to check the right scale.
空降獵兵頭盔是我喜愛的二戰頭盔之一; 製作時盡可能將之打薄, 戴上21世紀空降獵兵的頭上試試結果, 頭盔帶則必須以錫箔來製作. 粗胚的頭雕必須隨時與頭盔搭配尺寸以免有比例上的誤差.

Make the right proportion of body, go through the fabric crease detail; have a little section of wire then place it around the tool to make it round shape as German Y strip holder.
塑出正確的上身比例, 再製作衣服皺摺細節; 準備細鐵絲繞在圓柱的工具上變成Y帶的環.

I’ve add a 10mm plastic rod at the waist to connect upper body, that allow to movable upper body left and right; Have the arms in shape then go through the detail of right arm first.
在腰切面黏上了10mm粗的塑膠條, 可以用來連接上身且不需上膠水, 可以讓上身左右活動; 手臂也是先以粗胚到細節的方式製作.

It’s good to have 1/6 scale as reference, here is DID German para jump suit; I’ve add more detail on lower body, and the boots! Unfortunately, I didn’t notice the temperature that some part had char in the oven. The accident has happen sometime when the clay had bake in the oven. “Keep an eyes on it” anytime when you are doing this stage.
有1/6的德軍空降服可以參考是再好不過了; 加上了些細節及靴子的細節就行了. 在烘烤時發生了些意外, 烤焦是有時候不小心發生, 這是沒注意到溫度的設定! 只要隨時注意烤箱裡的變化就不至於發生不可收拾的下場.

The modify motorcycle has done, now really need riders to sit on it, that make things perfectly and completely. As usual, I squeeze the clay into rough shape of lower body, this is allow me to judge the correct size of 1/18 scale. For sure, I need a 1/18 scale figure aside to correct the scale.
完成後的德軍側車也必須有士兵們騎才會有完美感. 如同以往, 用黏土塑出粗略的下半身, 慢慢再修成1/18比例. 當然, 最好有個1/18的人型能當參考.

*Mix oil paint (Black & Brown) then add the lighter fluid as dilution, apply at the concave area to emphasis the contrast.
*Used clear brush through the washed area.

*以油畫顏料(黑+茶)混合加入Zippo稀釋, 塗上凹陷處以增加明顯對比.
*以乾淨筆刷刷過wash的部分.

*The original exhaust pipe supporter doesn’t looks good to me, that I removed half of it; then fix the surface.
*I used aluminum wire to replace the original exhaust kit.
*Drill the hole to connect the aluminum wire.
*Bend the wire to 90 degree at the rare transmission box, and then connect to the muffler (cut it from original kit).

*原本支撐消聲器的地方感覺很不喜歡, 把它切除一半再磨平.
*以鋁線代替原本的排氣管.
*在排氣管連接箱鑽洞以便鋁條固定.
*鋁條在後傳動箱彎折90度後連接消音器.

*Add the wire as fender support.
*Spray the dust effect on tires and under sidecar; glue the other side of MG holder then set up the MG.
*I used Gunze “Dark iron” as paint chip effect.

*加了鐵絲當作檔泥板的加強條.
*在機車、側車下方噴上塵土效果; 黏上機槍座的另一個支撐架.
*以黑鐵色做出掉漆的效果.

I drill and cut off the gap of motorcycle chassis and fender, that looks better detail than the original. Assemble the sidecar and tires with superglue, fill the gap and bubbles of sidecar and tire with putty, send them smooth with sandpaper when stiffen.
在摩托車的骨架及檔泥板的部位鑽出間隙, 讓它看起來更細緻. 側車以快乾膠組合, 在縫隙及氣泡出現的側車及輪胎上以補土補上, 待乾後以砂紙磨過.

*Spray the entire parts with acrylic matt black as primer.
*Pick the dark grey spray over the parts.
*Screw the body then glue the back sit.
*Putty fills the screw hole.
*Glue the sidecar handle and one of the gun blocks.

*所有的品部噴上黑色底漆.
*德軍灰再噴上表面.
*把車體鎖回去.
*螺絲洞以補土補上.
*黏上側車的把手及一個機槍座.

Just received the custom made 1/18 scale German sidecar accessary from” picklehaube” who is the craftsmanship in 1/18 scale, the parts are included a resin sidecar、a sidecar chassis、a MG-34 stand、a rear sit and 3 wheels, that the motorcycle base from Hasbro products of Indiana Jones adventure movie series of German motorcycle. I’ve take apart the motorbike then cut off the unnecessary parts to looks better than the original.
剛收到美國玩家自製的1/18德軍摩托車套件, 準備大改一番! 這位picklehaube是1/18世界裡的魔手級人物, 原來的這架德軍摩托是出自於孩之寶的印第安那瓊斯電影系列裡的德軍摩托, 但是精緻度不佳, 而它又是唯一的選擇; 所以用改造來提高這玩意的精緻及像真度.

It’s always great fun to spend a day at the model expo to look around static model work from each participant that they did lots of great work at the show, meet up the hobbyist and have lots of hobby chats! That’s life!
We have had few 1/6 figures attending the show which is the biggest scale at the show, that we were attracted lots of vision from hobbyist that we are sharing how we did the custom fabric、head sculpt、diorama and weathering.

Spray the flat coat while the color has done but the oil paint is not 100% dry yet that I’ve leave it for a day at least. I’m pretty sure this stage is safe!
The flat coat dry fast that can go through dry brush which have the primer color to brush top of them to soft the entire tone. The pants I have pick the light brown to dry brush on the top to show more gradient.
放置一天後在油畫顏料還未完全乾的狀態下噴上消光保護漆都還不會有問題, 其實是趕著將這小兵塗完. 消光漆乾得很快, 衣服部份再以底漆以乾刷刷過, 其他的部位則是以淺色系來作乾掃.

I’m quite enjoying painting little detail things and the confidence when young. I pick up the 34th Infantry Division for those soldier, that the insignia of sergeant and staff sergeant for them too.
一直很習慣塗細小的東西. 以34師隊章塗在手臂最上端, 挑了2 個階級塗上去.

I used the aluminum foil as helmet strip then paint the Humbrol color.
頭盔帶以錫箔紙為材料, 這是老方法但是一直是最棒的效果.

It’s been a while haven’t done any small scale figure painting, it is exciting to me to pick up the color paint and brush to start to enjoy the hobby. BTW, don’t forget to turn on the music.
Everything start from the flesh that I’ve apply Gunze acrylic flesh (orange+white) as primer then use oil paint (black + brown mix) apply on the concave area all around the head, having another clean brush to brush oil to show the gradient. I leave it a day to dry a bit then apply the light flesh tone on the Zygomatic bone、forehead、nose、amount under and the chin to emphasize gradient of the head.
太久沒玩小比例模型, 感覺還像以前那樣興奮. 原則上還是從肉色開始, 我以郡士膚色為底漆, 乾後以油畫(黑+茶色)塗在凹陷處; 用乾淨的筆刷將凹陷處輕輕刷開以呈現自然漸層, 放置一天後以較淺的膚色塗在顴骨、上額、鼻樑、下額輪廓處、下巴等處, 讓立體感更明顯.

I used my favorite Humbrol paint for the rest part.
我用最喜愛的Humbrol 漆塗上其他地方.

The oil paints for the gradient again which is a bit darker then the primer basically; the clean brush to do the last job again.
以油畫顏料調出比底漆較深的色系塗上凹陷處, 以乾淨筆刷刷開後再放置一天.

Just receiving the copy of G.I soldiers, I was enjoy to paint Willington 120mm or 1/35 scale resin figure when young, now I’m quite happy that I can do sculpting figurine by my own, it is excited to have the casting back and ready to paint them; I almost pick up the enthusiasm since 14 years ago.

The limited set of G.I soldier is available now, 18.77 USD for a set of unpainted figures. Get them to fit in your 1/18 scale military truck.

很興奮的收到寄回來的PU樹脂翻製小兵, 記得以前是花錢買威靈頓的樹脂120mm或1/35的人型上色, 現在蠻幸運的能有機會製作相關類型的人型, 還有享受上色的樂趣. 似乎撿回了14年前玩模型的感覺!

I’ve visited a static model show at Taipei city Shilin public assembly hall at this Saturday with friends, really impressive those craftsmanship modeler at the show.
They had the board on the back of the display model, which introduce the history of aircraft、AFV and ships, very educational events; The modelers are at the show to explain for question from visitors. We have great chat as well.
Lots of great stuff can’t take the shot due to acrylic case refection.
週末去了台北士林公民會館參觀模型展出, 這些都是台灣頂級模型高手, 每件模型作品都可以看出花了相當多的心思及技巧. 作品後面也有張大面版是介紹作品的歷史介紹, 相當富有教育意義的展出! 許多超讚的作品由於壓克力箱的反射而無法拍照.

I’ve add the super magnet at the joint area, which are the neck and arms that needs 6 piece of magnet for those parts. Drill the exactness size for 1.5cm diameter super magnet to fit in and glue them with super glue.

Really exciting to have those casting back, the cast material which is call PU resin; it’s solid and light, that the cost is acceptable. First I need to inspect those casting parts like the liquid poured port and molding line are needs to cut off or fix.
剛收到回來的翻製品, 非常興奮! 還是偏好PU樹脂, 堅固又輕且價格是可以接受的範圍. 先檢視所有的注入口及開模線, 這些都是必須處裡的部份.

Driver’s head have the open mouth expression on it, he might saying “get out of the way”, make 2 cylinder ready for arms; As usual, starting from the rough shape and right proportion then go through details, that is the sculpture basic rule.
駕駛兵頭雕有個張嘴的表情, 他可能邊開車邊說著”讓路、讓路”, 做出2 個圓筒狀準備給手臂用; 如同以往, 先從粗胚及比例著手再進入細節, 這是雕塑最基本的規則.

I’ve try those two soldier’s on the Willy jeep, which fit well too. The Willy jeep seems comfortable then Dodge truck. The driver’s arms have completed at the last shot.
將2位大兵放進威力吉普上, 座位來得比道奇軍卡舒適許多, 多了個選擇! 最後則是完成的駕駛兵開車狀的手臂.

Make the super rough right leg, it’s better to make sure the size is about 70% correct; I used knife to reduce the volume and shape of clay, following the left leg to check all the details.
先捏出很粗的右腿雛形, 確認70%尺寸正確後開始以刀片削出大多的土, 直到95%與左腿差不多後再從細部著手.

I’ve re-judge the seat and steering wheel, which moved back the seat back and touch the fence to give a bit of space for driver, the next seat had fixed. While the right leg detail has done, then put it in the oven to bake it.
從新將座椅拔開並調整位置, 方向盤也是, 給駕駛員爭取些空間, 隔壁的座位也是; 當右腿的細節完成後即可將它放進烤箱定型.

The driver is most necessary for vehicles, starting a piece of clay then roughly have the torso shape with left leg, that I’m planning to fit to Dodge truck but the seat is tight (not easy for driver), so I’m planning one leg in, that the other is from the right.
Again, once the set up has confirmed then go through the details.
駕駛員對車輛的確是必需的角色, 沒駕駛員車輛等於沒人駕馭; 駕駛員還是設計給道奇軍卡用, 但是駕駛座太狹窄, 想必駕駛的感覺會很差吧! 設計身體與左腿連接, 從駕駛座的左側放入, 右腿再從右側放入的方式製作. 在順利放入駕駛座後並確認姿勢後再進入細節.

The head is a kinda challenge from 1/6 to 1/18 scale, that it needs to shrink the size and details. I’m hold the breath to complete my first 1/18 scale head sculpt, that I’ll get use to it next time.
1/18的尺寸比1/6來的太有挑戰性了, 幾乎縮小了一大半! 的確需要屏息的去雕塑這麼小的頭, 但這會很快就適應了!

Making 1/18 M1 helmet is a challenge as well, I like to have the helmet wear on the head perfectly; not like the static model kits where design to cut the half of the head then glue the helmet on it. Action figure is much more fun, but I can’t make the entire joint workable.
I mold the helmet shape with clay, make sure the helmet shape is correct then go through oven for baked. I drill the interior part when the clay gets solid after baked by drill tool that it must very carefully the thick of helmet.
製作1/18的頭盔也是個挑戰, 我希望能像1/18系列可動人偶一樣能完全將帽子戴在頭上; 而不像是靜態模型總是會將頭部切半, 另一半頭盔再黏上. 隨然沒辦法讓人型的關節活動, 而這部份是唯一能增加樂趣的地方.
捏了塊黏土, 塑成M1頭盔的外型後放入烤箱定型; 以電動手鑚鑚出頭盔內容, 這得要很小心處理, 隨時注意頭盔的厚度.

Used model putty to do legging stripe, but one line only coz it is first challenging to me for small scale. The putty also goes to fix a crotch shape; Have the right arm proportion shape first then goes to detail, remember place the soldier to seat to check everything looks fine, then the detail can be made.
用模型補土做出綁腿綁帶, 但實在太小了, 只能以一條線帶過. 補土也補上褲襠的地方; 先從右手開始作, 把比例及角度調整好, 並隨時將士兵作進座位確認姿勢順眼及自然最重要, 再追加細節上去.

Following the right arm to make left arm, that thinking what kinda posing well for this soldier while sculpting it.

在烤過下半身並定型後, 以原先21世紀的美軍作為尺寸參考, 捏出身體雛形再塑出著戰鬥外套、子彈帶及腰帶.

Check the lower part of body to fit in the seat, I was planning to make driver first that the driver seat is bit of tricky, coz the seat is too close to steering wheel; So the soldier is goes to the next seat.
Get more detail on pants creases and legging creases; also make different texture the legging and boots.
在雛型時就得試著能不能座上卡車的位置, 原先是打算作駕駛兵但由於駕駛座窄過想像而將這士兵換到旁邊的位置. 將褲子的皺折慢慢整理出來, 連同綁腿也是, 再將綁腿與靴子的不同質感作出來.

I’ve been collected 1/18 scale series military toys for 6 years, really enjoy to have them. The 1/18 scale action figure are impressive as well, that I have figure it out the action figures are not really fit in any vehicles, specially the sitting pose for driver or passengers; I like to have it a try to make this scale figurine to fit in the trucks, the Dodge truck is my first choice.
I take one of the 21st G.I figure as size reference; the FIRM still my favorite material for sculpting. Make one piece of clay as lower part of the body size then cut at the middle as legs, bend the knee and make the feet roughly; Once the size have correct then go through more detail to make out the pants and legging, the pants crease following.

已收藏了6 年的1/18系列軍事模型玩具, 一直都是寶貝. 1/18的可動人型也很棒, 但是發現可動人型並非能完全座進載具裡, 特別是駕駛座、旁邊的座位及乘員. 即然買不到合適的人型, 就自己來作囉! 美軍道奇軍卡是第一個目標.
以21世紀人型尺寸為參考標準; FIRM灰色美國土還是我喜歡使用的材料. 先捏出一塊如同1/18人型下半身大的土, 切出區分兩腿, 大約彎折膝蓋及腳部; 再往細部進行, 如區分出褲子及綁腿後再往褲子的皺摺雕塑.

Half track vehicle always attractive me, the track link work with tire wheel that is amazing design for those kinda vehicles. Again, this is 21st Century toys products, very well made and detail kits, I miss 21st Century toy very much. The figures are from Force of valor and 21st.

Chip’s expression following with author that should be close to main prop design after discussion, which looks more momentum even he’s sweet looking robot. I’ve made a booster with a bit of interior to show the jet fins in it, the other booster needs to make copy will do.
Chip的表情與作者溝通過後修改成與原稿相同, 雖然他是個可愛的機器人但看起來還有些氣勢. 作了一個推進器, 也做出裡頭的噴射葉扇(可以看出這是噴射推進器), 另一個以copy的方式即可.

Chip’s main structure content 5 parts, that there are connected with plastic rod; such as head、body、bottom and booster x 2. Again, following the copy of main prop to make sure the size then go for detail, the hands are plastic rod as well; I’ve heated the plastic rod to curve shape for hands by lighter, one side to make it sharp to insert to body.
Chip’s主架構是由頭、身體、底盤及2 具推進器組合成. 以copy的主造型尺寸來塑出與hank的確實比例, 再增加細部細節, 而chip是小機器人, 沒啥細部可以煩惱的; 連結整個架構是用塑膠棒當材料, 剪下的手及脖子後以打火機烤成需要的彎度, 兩支手的末端以刀片削成尖銳狀, 可以插入身體部位.

One of Germany's best fighter airplanes of WWII, the "long nosed Fokker" design for high-altitude performance fighting machine against allies airplane during WWII. The bottom paint scheme is specialist, which is in red & vertical white stripe. This is the identification for air defense unit.
I was expected 1/18 scale FW-190A appear, but it seems hopeless by now; All the 1/18 scale are already dead.
這台優秀的Focke-Wulf 190D是二戰時期德軍設計的高空戰鬥用機型,也是用來對付盟軍的飛機.這架的底部特殊塗有紅底及白條是用來給地面部隊識別用. 原來蠻期待有FW-190A的出現,但現在1/18比例的飛機似乎都不見了!

Here is another one of my 1/18 scale collection from BBI products M4A3 Sherman tank, another collectable toys that comes with accurate detail entirely and great paint scheme. The co. tanker from 21st, the three 29th division infantry are from Force of valor products, that the one dress up tan combat uniform is 21st products.
Other 3 of 101 airborne are from 21st Century toys, which was the battle of Ardennes.
這1/18薛曼坦克是BBI出品的極品,超細及精確的可動玩具,實在是愛不釋手!塗裝也是漂亮,上頭的副車長是21世紀出品的戰車兵,車外的3名著綠色是29師步兵,出自於Force of valor;另一個著沙色戰鬥服則是21世紀出品,另3名是著冬季軍服的101空降師,背景是突出部戰役.

This is one of my favorite of WWII war bird F-6F Hellcat,that it is very well made full fuction 1/18 scale toys from BBI products,such as ruders,flap,landing gear,folding wing,canopy are all moveable.Really impresive toy! I washed with oil paint.

Here is another 21st Century toys Half-track of Sdkfz.251/22 Aust.D,the half-track armour car loaded with a Pak-40 gun,which is quite powerful weapon! I love the big camo paint,the WEHRMACHT are from Force of valor product.
這是另一款德軍Sdkfz.251 家族系列,上頭裝有一門Pak-40反坦克砲,可見威力蠻強大的!上頭的2個穿迷彩罩衫的國防軍是出自於Force of valor.

Another some of my 1/18 collection,Sdkfz.251/1 Ausf D from 21st Century toy products that I had it since 2004,the armour car towering a Pak-40 anti tank gun & winter dress WEHRMACHT,I'm planning to make few German soldier for the gun.
The German motorcycles are rare now,I'm lucky to have bunch of them. Those motorcycle are Hasbro products.
另一台德軍裝甲運兵車Sdkfz.251 D是2004年收藏的,出自於21世紀玩具.裝甲車拖著1門Pak-40反坦克砲,這砲最好是有士兵搭配才會出色,4吋可動人型系列似乎無法做出漂亮的動作來搭配這門砲,得計畫自己做囉!
德軍摩托車是市面上超級少的好東西,感謝朋友幫忙找到好幾台,摩托車是出自於孩之寶.

Post some of my 1/18 collection which is the 21st Century toy Sdkfz.251/2 Aust.C & Hasbro German truck from Indian Jones movie,the fall dot camo smock German soldier are from Force of Valor,the other who stand side of the truck is 21st Century toy products.Those are great detail military toy,it is fun to taking shot of them!
這是收藏其中之一的1/18二戰系列可動玩具,Sdkfz.251/2 Aust.C是21世紀出品,這款載著6支火箭,具有強大的摧毀力,是製作非常精確的仔細的玩具模型.德軍卡車則是孩之寶出品的印弟安納瓊斯系列電影裡的道具,雖然精緻度不及於21世紀,但是外型很不錯,蠻值得收藏的東東.穿著迷彩罩衫的2個德軍取自於Force of Valor,為可動的4吋人型,另一個站在卡車門上的是21世紀出品人型.

Been busy for moving and settle down for few days, finally back to the subject!
I’m starting the right arm after left arm, basically following the left one proportion、details and shape will do; I used toothpick to hold the arm before bake it that this is try to avoid the burning at the bottom.
剛忙完幾天的搬家, 等所有東西歸定位後開始後續的工作. 右手臂製作基本上參考左臂的比例、外型及細節就不會出差錯. 在送入烤箱前將手臂以牙籤頂起, 這樣可以避免送入烤箱時底部被拷焦的狀況發生.

Place the right arm on right position that the complete body has showing, love to make super hero subject. Head will be the last stage which is the hardest part. Stay tune…….
定型後的右臂稍加整理並以砂紙處理表面就完成, 兜上正確的位置後整個身體完成. 超喜歡製作超級英雄的題材, 頭部則留作最後製作, 困難度也較高. 待續!
